1. Introduction to PSHE at Brontë House

At Brontë House, we use Jigsaw, the mindful approach to PSHE, as our scheme of work to teach PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) across the school. The programme consists of 6 half-term units, each with 6 lessons: Being Me in My World, Celebrating Difference, Dreams and Goals, Healthy Me, Relationships and Changing Me.

We are eager to work in partnership with parents and understand it is important that parents are fully informed about what is taught in PSHE and within PSHE, RSE (Relationships and Sex Education). We have included as much information as possible about the content and context of lessons, and you will find our whole school Relationships and Sex Education Policy on our website.

Please note, although the relationships unit of work is organised into a discrete half term block, the learning objectives are threaded through the other units of work.

We would encourage parents to discuss any concerns or queries with their child’s form teacher.
